Matsiko Children's Choir At Foothill Christian School, our desire is to infuse our curriculum with Christ’s mandate to go and make disciples of all people. We want students to know that being a disciple of Jesus means not only following him in word, but also in deed. We want students to see that they are the hands and feet of Christ strategically sent out to a world in need. We believe as the Scriptures teach that “faith without action is dead” and we are committed to fostering a living and active faith in lives of every student.

Our Faith in Action program offers students opportunities at every grade level to get actively involved in our community and beyond. Whether it’s serving the poor of Los Angeles at the Union Rescue Mission, collecting change for water wells in El Salvador, or going on a Missions Trip to Mexico, our students are given age appropriate ways to make a difference in their world. We pray this is only the beginning of what would become for each student, a lifetime of following Christ and serving through action.

Faith in Action Program Receives National Recognition

The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) has recognized Foothill Christian School’s school wide Faith in Action program as an Exemplary School Program. The program will be featured in an article in the fall issue of Christian School Education magazine published by ACSI. Our Faith in Action program provides opportunities for students at every grade level to be actively involved in various age appropriate service projects in the community and beyond. This is all part of our commitment to foster within our students a desire to embrace the compassion of Christ as a daily and active reality.

The Mota Foundation

Last spring we collected uniforms, shoes and blankets that have been boxed and are ready to be shipped to the Dominican Republic to benefit the Manny Mota Foundation. We filled over 30 boxes that will be used to bless the children of Santo Domingo and neighboring communities. A team of 6 students will help with the distribution of these items over the Thanksgiving break as they travel with Mr. Gaines and Mr. G to the Dominican Republic to serve alongside the Mota’s. Be looking for more upcoming opportunities to support this endeavor and make it a success!
