Selah
Director: Mrs. Carolyn MirallesSelah is a select group of 4th and 5th grade students who have elected to join and commit to an elementary choir. This is a voluntary program and offers students the opportunity to learn about vocal technique, choral practices, and gain performance experience.
Choir members come together and rehearse weekly in order to prepare for the many performance they give throughout the year. These performances included the FCS “Sounds of Christmas” Concert, participating in the Glendora Christmas Parade, competing with local choirs in the ACSI Choral Festival, and the FCS Spring Concert. Song selections include a variety of genres and difficulty levels, and all represent the values and beliefs that FCS holds as a Christian institution.
The purpose of Selah is to provide training and tools for students to not only learn about singing, but also to discover a deeper and richer aspect of worship through music.

Private Vocal Lessons
Teacher: Mrs. Carolyn MirallesStudents who wish to gain a more personalized vocal training experience may sign up for private vocal lessons with Mrs. Miralles. These weekly lessons are arranged with the instructor and are catered to the student’s specific level and genre of music interest. Students will practice vocal technique and will participate in two recitals to gain valuable performance experience.
