Aimee Knight is the strings and orchestra director at Foothill Christian School where she has been on faculty since the 2009-10 school year. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado and her Masters in Music Education (M.M.Ed) from Azusa Pacific University. She also holds a California state teaching credential in K-12 music.

Aimee began playing the violin and viola in fourth grade and has loved music ever since. Her passion for teaching occurred early on in her musical endeavors, as she began volunteering in schools and teaching private and group strings lessons as a high school student. Her past experience also includes 3 years as a strings specialist for the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association. In addition to her position at FCS, Aimee helps direct the Azusa Conservatory of Music, coaches orchestra students in Arcadia Unified School District, and has a private lesson studio at Gards Music.

Aimee’s other interests include singing, musical theater, dance, figure skating, tennis, writing, and conducting academic research in the field of music education. She is also highly involved with the worship and theater arts programs at First United Methodist Church in Pasadena and is a certified Zumba fitness instructor. Aimee believes strongly in the value of a Christ-centered education and is blessed to be able to educate and minister to children through music and worship.
