Grandpals are always welcome to assist with special projects at Foothill. One Grandpal in particular, Mrs. Westermore of Glendora, has especially endeared herself to Mrs. Bartel’s 2nd grade students by sharing her wonderful gift of storytelling. But during a recent visit, it was turnabout time when Mrs. Bartel asked students to come to class prepared to ask one specific question to learn more about the life and experience of their guest. It was a rich classroom visit with gleanings of childhood memories and early school days, raising a family and savoring life as a grandmother. When the hour had ended, the most important question remaining was, “When will you be back, Mrs. Westermore?”
